Hail The Almighty God Who Places Much Value On Fragments

When something is broken it is broken! When something is used up it is used up!

Every normal thinking person wants to use fresh, brand new and complete things. One cannot derive any sense of joy or satisfaction from keeping broken down fragments within one’s vicinity.

But contrary to human comprehension, it happened one day after Jesus had performed a miracle by feeding over 5,000 men (excluding women and children) with five loaves and two fish, that he asked his disciples to gather all the remaining fragments and keep them safe. It was rather shocking that after ably feeding everyone present on that day Jesus goes ballistic about the picking of food crumbs.

“When they were filled, he (Jesus) said unto his disciples, gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost” – John 6:12.

Though it appeared strange, but the disciples obeyed their master without any questions. But why would Jesus emphasise on the need to gather up fragments? Why delay his time and progress by demanding the gathering up of seemingly worthiness crumbs and leftovers?

Your see, this scripture teaches human beings one of the greatest lessons under the sun. It does not matter how you appear in people’s eyes, what you have gone through physically and emotionally, where you originate from, and the context that surrounds you and your family, and for how many years you have been suffering that way.

God is the only person who places value over your life regardless of the circumstances and context. He loves you unconditionally, and he will use you regardless of how the world views you. Jesus at one time reminded his disciples over God’s insistence on using rejected materials. He used a metaphor of a broken brick to illustrate even his story of coming to save the world.

“Jesus said unto them; did you never read in the scriptures, the stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?” – Matthew 21:42.

God has a rich history of opting to use “rejects” to spearhead some of his most important assignments in human history. People like Noah, Abraham, Moses, Aaron, Elijah, Matthew, Paul, David, Solomon and Saul all had serious issues of failing in one way or another. They were all at one time fallible in their paths of destiny. But instead, God “gathered their broken pieces” and opts to use the very same fallible people to accomplish his missions.

And even in your own personal life, you are at crossroads and almost giving up to fate. You have crumbled down and lack any single positive thing to point on. You have tears rolling down your cheeks as you read this text. You have a swelling heart as you think of the pains that are chocking your destiny.

But you are the very same person God is preparing to “gather up”. Your fragments have been seen by the creator himself. Rise up and carry your mat, and rush into the presence of God. He wants to change everything that surrounds you today, this very moment!

He is your creator! He is your owner! He is your maker!

You are worthy so much to him.

May your fragments find favour in God’s eyes and be gathered up today for a special assignment!

Stay blessed.
