The world is a very stingy place by nature. You do not wake up just receiving things for free! NEVER!

The moment you begin to receive certain valuable things for “free” you have to be extremely careful. Ask yourself the million dollar question: Why am I getting all these things for free? Is it just pure generosity? Or there is something brewing behind it?

One of these days, a young mouse jumped on top of a jar filled with groundnuts. He was too happy to find so much food surrounding him. Suddenly the young mouse did not need to run around searching for food to eat. In his mind he concluded that finally he was done with the daily hassles of searching for foodstuffs.

But as the mouse was enjoying the grains day after day, it did not realise that it was slowly sinking to the bottom of the jar without even realising it. He eventually realised how foolish he had been as he was now full trapped inside the jar. He could not even move easily inside it.

In this situation, the young mouse was now living on borrowed time. His continued survival depended heavily on the benevolence of someone putting food inside the jar. The mouse had completely relinquished its right to choose between diets.

Life Lessons from the Young Mouse:

1) Short term pleasures can lead to long-term traps. The young mouse thought it was just eating free food only to realise that it had been trapped beyond redemption.

2) If things are coming easy and you are getting comfortable, you are actually being trapped into a survival mode.

3) When you are not using your potential, you are losing it. As the young mouse focused much on the seemingly free groundnuts, it ended up losing its God-given potential to look for food.

4) If you do not take the right action at the right time, you will soon be trapped for good.
