Success is the most expensive target of your life.

Genuine success is never given to anyone on a silver platter.

Poverty does not die by fire. It dies by a calculated hard work!

Some great men and women who walked on this planet earth took time to remind us about the expensiveness of genuine success.

Prominent American rapper, 50 Cent, released his debut studio album in 2003 with G-Unit Records titled “Get Rich or Die Trying”. The message is very clear: you don’t have to stop at anything if you want to amass real success. You have to go on full throttle even if it means dying in the jungles while trying your very best.

Katarina Witt once intimated that: “Almost nothing is presented to you on a silver platter. You have to really work for it”.

Israelmore Ayivor weighed in saying: “Avoid trying to win tough battles on the silver platter. If the struggle is tough the success is sweet”.

Gordon Wu also reminded us that: “You have to earn money the hard way. Because no one will serve it up to you on a silver platter”.

The common message being conveyed through all these quotes is very clear: GENUINE SUCCESS IS EXPENSIVE. Everyone has to sweat in order to succeed!

But how did this come up? How did it all start?

The origins of sweating for one’s success were pronounced by The Almighty God Himself to the first couple after the two had sinned in the Garden of Eden. The pronouncement was fully captured in Genesis 3:17(b) on which God said to Adam; “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life”.

Proverbs goes on to remind lazy buggers on the consequences of a living a sluggish life. “A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest – and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man” Proverbs 6:10-11.

In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul took time to also educate his flock about working before one qualifies to eat. “For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: ‘The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat’” 2 Thessalonians 3:10.

If you are one person who is expecting your dreams to come through cheaply, then you need a mindset shift as soon as possible! That is not going to happen in this physical world.

I know some of us have a tendency of referring to a few exceptions who got spoon-feeding successes from the blues. Those are very rare and far in-between cases. Even if they are there, somebody somewhere had to sweat for all that success they are busy enjoying today.

Due to the corruption and scandals bedeviling this world, we have witnessed an influx of crooks and morally bankrupt people being paraded as “inspirations who are hardworking and successful” when we know fully well they are thieves! Those are not the ones I am talking about! I am referring to genuine pursuits which results in genuine successes.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
Let us teach our sons to work for their successes, lest they will wake up as thieves, murderers, robbers and drug addicts as they try to find an easy way out.

Let us teach our daughters that a lavish lifestyle is worked for, lest they will wake up as home-wreckers, mistresses and sex workers as they try to find an easy way out.

It is only genuine success that can turn your mockers into your workers. Show me one person who never takes risks and I will show you a man who never accomplishes a thing.

Nothing is worse than missing a golden opportunity that would have changed your whole life!

Too much of analysis leads to paralysis!

The more excuses you make the lesser money have your pocket.

Have a nice day even as you pursue genuine success!
