True Ambassadorial Role | Representing The Kingdom of God

The politics of this world give those in power opportunities to occupy high public offices. After elections, winning candidates jostle for positions of authority. Some of the worst crimes against humanity have been committed during the election aftermath phase.

However, while some powerful posts are elected, but others are occupied through appointments. The most significant of these roles is that of an Ambassador.

Jesus Christ has also made us to be his Ambassadors here on earth.

“We are therefore Christ's Ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God” 2 Corinthians 5:20.

The occupation of this role has caused so much confusion, pandemonium and anarchy. The Kingdom of God has been seriously misrepresented by crooks, claiming Ambassadors of Jesus Christ. These have made it so difficult for people to then distinguish between true and false ambassadors. Let’s now explore some of the ways how one can distinguish between the two.

(1) An ambassador doesn't represent himself, but one who sent him:
We have seen the Kingdom of God being infiltrated by dubious ambassadors, who pretend to be ‘Apostles’ or ‘Prophets’, yet everything they do is advancing their personal names and egos. That is nonsensical and diabolical to say the least. A true ambassador must be ready to advance the views and policies of the one who sent him. Stand for the assignment of Jesus Christ, nothing more nothing less.

(2) An ambassador carries the voice and authority of the one who sent him:
Many times we have seen dubious church leaders speaking weird doctrines to the body of Christ. Their words are at variance with the dictates of the Kingdom of God. For instance, the doctrine of “back-to-sender” goes against the biblical principle of love. We are taught, repeatedly so, to love one another not to revenge (1 Peter 4:8). Ladies and gentlemen, let’s represent our master Jesus Christ in accordance with His word.

(3) An ambassador remains a citizen of his country of origin:
A true ambassador must not be corrupted or conformed to this world. Your country of origin remains heaven, and your passport remains the property of the Kingdom of God. Don't surrender that identity to this world, you are an alien here. Don’t join their wicked ways of getting money, joining cults to make it big in life. Be a true ambassador of Jesus Christ.

(4) An ambassador maintains his language from the mother country:
Your language as a citizen of heaven is all about speaking blessings, confessing positive, forgiveness, love, accommodative, service, compassion and meekness. No citizen of the Kingdom of God is allowed to be heard cursing people or confessing negatives. Anyone who does so is seriously misrepresenting the King of Kings.

Any Benefits for Ambassadors?
Unlike senators, parliamentarians, congressmen or cabinet ministers, all expenses of Ambassadors are met in full by the government they represent. Of course God uses the earthly people to bless and stand with you. You will get your accommodation, motor vehicles, medical aid, school fees, maids, bodyguards, educational allowance, messenger, driver, you name them here on earth but being sent from above.

In that same vein, Jesus Christ meets all the requirements of his true ambassadors. Be faithful to the task and God will take you very far.

Be A True Ambassador!
