The African Child vis-à-vis The Global Mindset

An African child usually starts very far and tough in life.

The schooling conditions are pathetic, food is inadequate with incomplete dietary fusion, health is rarely or never checked, clothing materials are mostly donated and oversize, family intimacy is low or non-existent due to the size of the family and taking on-board of extended family members. The list is endless.

However, out of the same conditions and challenges, God has given the grace to some who have excelled and risen high like proverbial phoenixes. Highly skilled doctors, nurses, accountants, artists, engineers, agricultural economists, politicians, social workers, strategists, mechanics, food technicians, aviation professionals have all been produced from the same African basket. We have witnessed many legends defying their humble beginnings to claim global superstardom.

People like Bruce Grobbelaar, Sadio Mane, George Weah, Samuel Eto’o, Kirsty Coventry, Proud Chinembiri, Josiah Thugwane, Maria Mutola, Mohamed Salah and many other global icons, have all originated from the African continent.

It is my fervent prayer today that we cut-off that spirit of first suffering and enjoying later. Let us work hard to disconnect the poverty umbilical code that seems to connect the African child to multiple levels of suffering. Let us declare the breaking down of trans-generational malpractices that have been feeding and supporting this anomaly.

It is God's desire to see you prospering and being in good health even as your soul prospers (3 John 2).

Go and procreate African global mindsets.
