The principal reason why a lot of people won’t
become who they want in life is because they are too attached to who they have
been in the past. Their history carries some heavy excess baggage of abortions,
theft, killings, bitterness, divorce, unwanted pregnancies, cheatings, demotions,
dismissals, diseases, exam failures and all other possible negatives of this
world. Once they begin to visualise these vices and failures of life, they are
suddenly convinced of their “useless and unfit” status probing their future.
They just give up, waiting to age and die!
However, regardless of how “bad” you think have
erred in your life; the fact that you are still alive should give you hope. As
long as you are still breathing, your life can be turned turnaround. The good
news to give you is that God; our creator; “overlooked
the times of ignorance” – Acts 17:31(a).
It is his ultimate promise that; “though
your sins are red like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are
red like crimson, they shall be as wool” – Isaiah 1:18(b). You have his word!
From today onwards; go and check yourself in the
mirror and speak positive to yourself. Offload all the negative stuff that are chocking
your confidence; rise up, dust yourself and move on with life. History has it
that some of the people who dominate the halls of fame in today’s world were
once treated as outcasts in their earlier lives. They were ridiculed left,
right and centre. What differentiates them from losers is their motivation and cultivation
of self-belief.
You should know it that, despite your current
sorry status, you were designed to rule, influence and dominate the earth (Genesis
1:26-28). Refuse that state of comatose; refuse that life of cries and tears;
refuse that life of being treated as a door-mat. You are special in your own
right. Rise up and claim your stake in this world of the living. Bury your
past; visualise your future!
That’s my story!!
