Be Celebrated In Your Lifetime

When a child is born, people congratulate the parents and celebrate the new addition to the family.

It is a general practice the world over; cutting across all ethnic groups and cultures. Again, when the child grows to become an old man/woman, and dies, people gather again to pay tribute to the departed. Unfortunately, both of these gatherings are done when the person central to them is unconscious of what is happening. He/she does not determine the activities, events and the directors of the ceremonies. They are done without his/her consent.

While the reality of life is that when a person is born, they shall die and depart out of this planet earth; what is more important to us is that which happens between these two dates. Many people die without impacting this world in any way. They live for 50, 80 or 100 years and still go quietly without any recourse for successive generations. That is not proper! It goes against the spirit of dominance and influence that was bestowed on mankind by God Himself (Genesis 1:26-28).

Man was not meant for mediocrity; but was designed for accomplishment, engineered for success; and should leave behind footprints and a legacy of trailblazing successes and achievements on this planet earth.

Anything short of that is counterproductive to the original dictates of the Almighty God. Let us not continue to make the cemetery the richest place on earth! People are being buried with their untapped potential: books that were never published, business ideas that were never explored, legal minds that never graduated, great music worshippers that never stood on any podium, explosive evangelists that never stood on any pulpit, international athletes that never ran a race outside their primary school walls.

It could be an issue of opportunities and exposure. But, notwithstanding all those drawbacks; it brings so much joy, smiles, comfort and satisfaction to be celebrated during your active lifetime. You would have lived your purpose for the glory of your creator; and the impacting of successive future generations. You name people like John the Baptist, Dag Hammarskjöld, Abraham Lincoln, Florence Nightingale, Kwame Nkrumah, William Wilberforce, Mother Teresa, Princess Diana, Michael Jackson, Kathryn Kuhlman, Ezekiel Guti, Myles Munroe, Oral Roberts, Josiah Tongogara; you name them.

Make an effort to achieve successes and be celebrated in your active lifetime!
