The moment a person is born into
this world; what is left is for him/her to die! It’s a sickening reality of
life; but that’s A GOD’S CASE! And there is NO APPEAL. It doesn’t matter your age, race or family
belief system. Once you are born; you are sure to die one day.
To understand the unpredictability of life, let’s
explore the painful short-lived life of one American girl and see the impact
she left on planet earth.
There are many vital lessons to
learn from the short life of JonBenét Ramsey.
However, while death is investable; the sad reality of
life is that most people die before living their purpose on planet earth. They die
raw; carrying all deposits of gifts that God had given them to use to change
this world. Dr. Myles Egbert Munroe (OBE), was quoted many times during his
sermons warning people not to die with their gifts. He explained the “wealthness”
of the cemetery because of people who die with all their untapped potential. “The wealthiest places in the world are not
gold mines, oil fields, diamond mines or banks. The wealthiest place is the
cemetery. There lies companies that were never started, masterpieces that were
never painted... In the cemetery there is buried the greatest treasure of
untapped potential. There is a treasure within you that must come out. Don't go
to the grave with your treasure still within YOU”, he explained in one of
his sermons.
JonBenét Patricia Ramsey was a six year old American
child beauty queen who was brutally murdered in her family's home in Boulder,
Colorado Springs, United States of America; on the Christmas day of 25 December
1996. A handwritten ransom note, requesting $118,000; was found in the house,
and JonBenét's father, John, found her crushed body in the basement of their home
about eight hours after she had been reported missing. JonBenét sustained a
broken skull from a blow to the head and had been strangled to death with a
garrotte that was found tied around her neck. The case generated global
attention and still remains unresolved up until today.
Despite her short-lived earthly life; at six years of
age JonBenét has already won five beauty pageant titles and go nominations in
many others. She lived a purposeful in those six years!!
1. Live your life today because you don’t
know what tomorrow holds for you.
2. Whether you are young or old, live a purposeful life.
2. Whether you are young or old, live a purposeful life.
3. At whatever
age, you can still impact the world.
4. And, despite
your age, race or colour; God can still allow some negative stuff to happen in
your life.
Everyone; all ages, have got to
be prepared for any eventuality in their lives!! The late Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) Sports News
Anchor; Chengetai Ditima, summed it up all when he used to say: “Life is but a moving shadow, one minute is
there the next it’s not so live each day as if it’s indeed your very very
last”.
