“I want to thank Marjorie for skyrocketing my life. I
wasn’t doing well until you came along girl”; said Steve Harvey describing his wife; Marjorie Elaine Harvey .
Steve Harvey is one of the greatest stand-up
comedians of all time. He patched a very successful a twenty-seven year active
career in stand-up comedy, which he officially retired from on August 2, 2012.
In that final stand-up act, performed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, United
States of America; he gave a tearful and heart-touching farewell message to his
global audience. In this Steve Harvey Series, we will be reflecting on the
seven critical life lessons learnt from that heart-warming message. Make sure
you go through the entire series to understand and learn from one of the global
icons of our time. We will be quoting
key statements from his final message, and expound on them.
Life Lesson Number 3 from Steve Harvey is that for
every successful person in life, there is someone on the background who comes
in with a push factor. That person could be your spouse, father, mother,
brother, sister, friend, manager you name it. It is very rare to find a
successful person who doesn’t have anyone he or she acknowledges; directly or
indirectly.
The people who come to push us in life they do it
different. Some tend to be harsh and negative towards us, others tend to be
friendly and accommodative. Some push us to achieve more without even knowing it!
That is the paradox of life.
Jesus Christ was pushed to the limit by his own
people in life. They actually crucified him on the cross, and by so doing he
attained victory through their perceived evil deeds. His success on the Cross
of Calvary is well documented, and it’s now a global phenomenon. So if Jesus
Christ, being the Son of God, needed people to push him through; what about
you? You need people to make it in life.
